February 11: International Day of Women and Girls in Science.

The UN General Assembly created the International Day of Women and Girls in Science to allow local, national and international governments, as well as the general public, to organize celebrations. Some of the objectives of the day are to gain attention, raise awareness and mobilize resources to meet sustainable development goals.
