December 11: International Mountain Day

The UN General Assembly created International Mountain Day to allow local, national and international governments, as well as the general public, to celebrate these spaces which cover 15% of the global habitat. One of the goals of the day is to gain attention, raise awareness and mobilize resources to meet sustainable development goals.

Objectif Sciences International, an NGO which works closely with the United Nations, participates in the GENEVA FORUM in order to promote sustainable management of natural places, reverse the degradation of soils and resources. as well as to halt species extinction. Mountains are one of the first indicators of global warming: if we want to preserve them, we must first considerably reduce our carbon footprint.

If you wish to attend or present a project at the Forum, please register under the “Rights of Nature" category by clicking on the following link: GENEVA FORUM Program
