January 24th : International Education Day

The International Day of Education was established by the United Nations General Assembly as a day of celebration for civil society, local and international governments. One of the goals of this day is to draw attention to the general public, raise awareness and mobilize resources to meet the fourth Sustainable Development Goal.

International supports through the GENEVA FORUM, the visibility of issues surrounding education at the global level and provides a platform for updates on existing initiatives to address these issues. Each year during the GENEVA FORUM, there is a one-day event which solely focuses on education global challenges, education’s role in peace and development process as well as inclusive education.
